How we use your data.
Payouts are paused for the next week.
You can keep recording and submitting. We'll process and pay out every accepted submission as soon as payouts resume.
How we treat your Submissions depends on the task you accept. Most tasks on Specific — code submissions, conference transcripts, written materials — are anonymized-data tasks. Voice-cloning tasks and certain other identifiable-data tasks are different. We’ll walk through each.
Anonymized-data tasks. For code, transcripts, and other non-voice tasks, every Submission is stripped of personally identifiable information before it leaves our systems. Names, email addresses, phone numbers, and anything else that could identify you or the people you mention are removed or replaced with neutral placeholders. The anonymized data is used to train AI models. It isn’t sold to advertisers, posted publicly, or used to build a profile about you. Your raw recordings stay encrypted at rest and are not shared in identifiable form outside our pipeline.
Voice-cloning and other identifiable-data tasks. For voice-cloning tasks — and any other task we explicitly label as an identifiable-data task at acceptance — your Submission is processed in identifiable form, meaning it can be attributed to you. We license or sell your voice recording, voiceprint, and likeness to AI labs and other buyers, who use that data to train voice models, create voice clones, generate synthetic voices, and produce digital replicas. We do this only after you have separately and affirmatively consented to the specific task at the time you accept it. Voice recordings and voiceprints are biometric or sensitive personal information under privacy laws like California’s CCPA and India’s DPDP Act, and your consent is the legal basis for our use of them. We’re telling you this here, in plain language, so your choice is informed.
If you change your mind. You can request deletion of a specific Submission, or withdraw your consent to our continued use of it, at any time by emailing sid@usebear.ai. What happens next depends on whether the Submission has already been delivered to a buyer.
Before delivery. If we haven’t yet delivered the Submission, or any dataset that includes it, to a buyer, we’ll delete it and any artifacts we still have, pull it from any pending dataset, and recover the corresponding payment from your account — because the sale is being unwound.
After delivery. Once we’ve delivered the Submission to a buyer, the sale is final. We’ll stop our own further commercial use of identifiable copies, forward your request to the buyer and ask them to stop further use, and honor any statutory rights you have against us or the buyer. We won’t claw back the payment we paid you, and we won’t require the buyer to delete data already delivered or to destroy an AI model that has already been trained on it, except where the law requires that. Models that have already been trained on your Submission can’t be untrained, and your request doesn’t require us to destroy them.
Your statutory rights. Nothing on this page limits any non-waivable rights you may have under applicable law. See our Privacy Policy for the jurisdiction-specific rights you have and how to exercise them.
